Jonhelyn obtained her law degree in 2021 from Robson Hall at the University of Manitoba, and was called to the bar in 2022 after completing her articles with Mercado Trinh Law LLP. Jonhelyn is currently an Associate Lawyer at Mercado Trinh Law LLP and practices in the areas of family law, real estate, corporate/commercial, wills and estates, and immigration.

Jonhelyn immigrated to Canada from the Philippines as a child.  Fully bilingual in English and Tagalog, she strives to provide legal services in a comfortable environment and in a culturally-informed manner.
